Scope and who we are
VowBliz provides tools for couples to create wedding websites, publish celebration information, invite collaborators, manage guests, and collect RSVPs. This Privacy Policy applies to the VowBliz website, account workspace, published wedding websites, and related communications.
In this policy, “you” may mean an account holder, collaborator, invited guest, or visitor. Couples and their authorized collaborators decide what wedding and guest information to add to a workspace. VowBliz processes that information to provide and protect the service.
Information we collect
Account and authentication information
We process your email address, display name, account identifier, authentication methods, and account security status. If you use a social provider, we may also receive your profile image and the provider identifier needed to connect that sign-in method. Password credentials and authenticator secrets are handled by our authentication provider and are not displayed to VowBliz administrators.
Wedding and website content
Couples and collaborators may add names, wedding dates, venues, schedules, stories, photographs, music, family and wedding-party details, dress guidance, accommodation information, registry links, frequently asked questions, contact details, and other content chosen for the wedding website.
Guest, invitation, and RSVP information
A workspace may contain guest names, contact details, party relationships, event access, invitation status, attendance responses, companion details, dietary or accessibility information, and messages. This information may be entered by a couple or collaborator, or submitted by a guest through an RSVP form.
Communications and technical information
We process collaboration invitations, account emails, support requests, and service notices. Our systems and service providers may also receive browser and device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, request logs, performance information, page visits, and error details needed to operate and secure the service.
Google sign-in data
When you choose “Continue with Google,” Google may provide VowBliz with your name, email address, profile picture, and a unique account identifier. We use this information only to create or authenticate your VowBliz account, show your account identity, prevent fraud, and provide account support.
- VowBliz does not receive your Google password.
- VowBliz does not request access to your Google contacts, Drive files, Calendar, Gmail, or other Google content.
- Google sign-in information is not sold or used for advertising.
- You can disconnect Google after adding another available sign-in method to your account.
VowBliz’s use of information received from Google is limited to providing authentication and account features described in this policy.
How we use information
We use information to:
- create and secure accounts, maintain sessions, and provide multi-factor authentication;
- save, render, publish, and share wedding websites and their media;
- manage invitations, collaborators, guests, event access, and RSVP responses;
- send transactional emails such as confirmation, recovery, email-change, and collaboration messages;
- provide maps, exports, previews, account controls, and customer support;
- monitor reliability, measure product usage, investigate abuse, and improve the service; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, legitimate interests in operating and securing VowBliz, your consent, and compliance with legal obligations.
Wedding sites and guests
Draft wedding websites are limited to authorized workspace users. When an owner publishes a website, content selected for that site becomes available through its public link. Search indexing is off by default and can be enabled by the wedding owner. Invitation links may reveal personalized RSVP information to anyone who possesses the link, so they should be shared carefully.
Couples and collaborators are responsible for having an appropriate reason or permission to add guest information, photographs, music, and other third-party content. They should avoid publishing private information that guests would not reasonably expect to be public.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and workspace information while it is needed to provide VowBliz, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain security. Retention periods vary by information type and may include a limited period in encrypted backups or system logs after deletion.
Wedding owners can delete weddings from the Settings danger zone. Account holders can delete their account from Account Settings after deleting any weddings they own. Account deletion removes that account and its collaborator access; weddings owned by other people remain. Some records may be retained where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Security
We use access controls, row-level database security, encrypted connections, account verification, optional multi-factor authentication, restricted privileged credentials, and other organizational and technical safeguards. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a strong sign-in method, protect invitation links, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent. Account holders can update profile details and sign-in methods in Account Settings and can export RSVP information from the workspace.
Guests should normally contact the couple who invited them to correct or remove wedding guest information because the couple controls that guest list. You may also contact VowBliz at support@vowbliz.com, and we will help route or address the request as appropriate.
Children’s information
VowBliz accounts are not intended for children who cannot legally agree to these terms. A couple may include a child’s name or party relationship when organizing a family invitation. Account holders should provide only information reasonably necessary for the wedding and obtain any permission required from a parent or guardian.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as VowBliz changes or legal requirements develop. Material changes will be identified by a revised date and, when appropriate, communicated through the service or by email.
For questions, privacy requests, or complaints, email support@vowbliz.com. You may also have the right to contact the privacy or data-protection authority where you live.
